Brankas is building the next generation of Open APIs and infrastructure for banks, insurance, and other financial institutions across Southeast Asia. Our API-based technology supports real-time disbursements, customer payments by bank transfer, reconciliation, and account statement retrieval for online lenders.
We provide cutting-edge consumer and enterprise focused financial management software and systems. Brankas’ enterprise-focused web apps make use of best-in-breed, modern frontend technologies such as TypeScript and Vue.js (among others), and leverage third-party systems and APIs where possible.
About the Position
Brankas is looking for a strong Quality Assurance Engineer.
Candidates should have a strong desire to work in a fast moving, but rigorous development environment, with focus on pushing high quality, secure and production grade code. The position covers the following:
- Review requirements provided by Product Managers, understand the specifications and technical design documents and provide feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and cases
- Estimate , prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
- Identify, record, document and track bugs
- Perform regression test when bugs are resolved
- Work close with our internal teams like product managers and developers to identify system requirements
- Define and track QA metrics like defect densities and open defect counts
- Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies
Qualifications
- At least 5 years professional experience as QA Engineer
- You are currently residing in South East Asia region
- Proven work experience in software development
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
- Solid knowledge of automated test scripting
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- Candidates must have excellent English communication skills and be independently driven to success
- Previous experience working in banking, e-commerce, or finance is a plus
